Welcome to Distiller’s Guest House, a historic gem blocks from the Kentucky State Capitol and downtown Frankfort. This 1930s brick building is stylishly renovated with respect for its character and offers well-appointed apartments ideal for legislators, contractors, digital nomads, and bourbon trail enthusiasts. This studio features plush linens, a beautifully preserved art deco bath, and a refreshed kitchen stocked with essentials. It’s your comfortable home away from home.

The space

This 1930's era brick building has been stylishly renovated with an eye to historic preservation. It houses ten well-appointed monthly rental units that are perfect for legislators, government contractors, digital nomads, those on temporary assignment and true lovers of the bourbon trail. Distiller's Guesthouse is your home from home.

This one-bedroom apartment features a full-sized bed with fluffy linens. The art-deco style bathroom is stocked with hotel-quality towels. The freshly remodeled kitchen has all of the essentials you need to feel at home.

The neighbourhood

Frankfort, the capital city of Kentucky, is located in-between the major metropolitan cities of Louisville and Lexington. South Frankfort is desired by travelers because our quaint, fun downtown is full of locally-owned restaurants, bars, shops, museums and historic sites. Stroll quiet, tree-lined streets to the State Capitol, the Governor's Mansion and the Kentucky Flower Clock. Then walk across the scenic Capitol Avenue Bridge to enjoy a meal and tasting at Bourbon on Main with its view of the State Capitol.

Please care for our recently re-enameled historic tubs and sinks. Please avoid harsh chemicals, dyes and bleaches. We provide Dawn antibacterial soap which is the best cleaner for historic tubs and sinks. We also provide a no-suction cup, nonslip mat for the tub.

Guest access

This building is accessed through an outside door with keyless entry. Each unit also has its own keyless entry code. There is a sitting area between floors for meeting and socialization. The well lit, safe basement has free washers and dryers for guest use.

We will be down the street during your stay and are eager to answer any of your questions. We look forward to welcoming you!

Michele's place was a perfect spot to rest after long days exploring the Bourbon Trail and evening events. Frankfort was a perfect location for us. It is super cute, its close to Buffalo Trace & Whiskey Thief (among others). The bakery (Andy's) around the corner was outstanding (A MUST STOP). We definitely plan to return. :)
